Poetry is the reason i sleep well at night,
Unburdens feelings, making the heart light.
I write what I feel is good and what's right,
What tickles my fancy or catches my sight.
My emotions are as raging dogs set to fight,
Poetry is the remedy that stops their bites.
I write humbly with my proud pen's might.
I write poetry with edges raw and lines tight.
I seek freedom and poetry is my only kite.
I write not for the money nor for the fame,
I write with a belief and hope in my name.
The fire in my heart burns one more time,
On a new page, this burning poem is mine.
