The days were unending as were the nights,
She waited and waited and waited,
But there seemed no hope in sight…
what she hoped she didn't know
Everything seemed fine yet nothing right
Time seemed stretched out longer than they have ever been
wanted to say things but words were lost they seemed foreign
She lay wide awake during nights and demons seemed lurking in the daylight
she wanted escape but she didn't know what she was running from
It was the weight she was carrying which she could neither dump nor carry around.
so she's lost yearning for something to pull her out of the darkness
which now just seemed looming in the distant land never to be found.
