The days too eventually fell silent,
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors,
Caged up in our homes,
Some enjoyed baking,
While others had to walk miles!
Some rested in their luxurious homes,
While others died on the railway tracks.
Some feasted while others had never ending fasts,
The queue of underprivileged
Were just another daily news
Hundreds dead!
Some due to hunger,others due to virus,
Some due to injustice, others due to colour ,
Our souls shattered ,
And Hope's devastated !
All hearts prayed in synchronicity ,
Gift us our freedom!
Humanity restored in minds,
All we could wish was for the old happy times!
