Sometimes it is best to be in solitude,
To separate from the crowd,
So no one will intrude,
As you mumble tales alone aloud,

Sometimes it's comfortable in the crowd,
To get lost in their gist,
So you'll never have to share,
As you laugh at all their jokes,

Sometimes it's best to just smile,
Regardless of your heart,
So they'll never have to ask you questions,
You don't wish to answer,

Sometimes it's comfortable to frown,
To give them an answer before they ask,
So they'll have to excuse you,
And you'll never have to lie,

Sometimes it's best to be friendly
Regardless of your fear,
So you'll never have to frown,
Even when you're alone.
