I hopelessly sat
as I watched my life fade away
staring into space
with my sanken heart
unable to believe what had become
of whatever in a long time had been my heart
or so I thought
Unable to prevent my tears from rolling down
I couldn't find a way
to believe that life is truly beautiful
that I could actually fly away
live the life I once deemed possible
I helplessly sat
as I watched my life fade away
staring into space
nursing my broken heart
faintly trying to believe
something could come from my ache
For the first time in my little life
I truly tasted the art of letting go
that one could set free
something this treasured
in obedience to circumstances
that one could willingly give up the will to control
