Message from the trees
The trees are shades of orange, red, and yellow
Seeping down feeling mellow.
The dying leaves scream of change.
It’s a beautiful exchange
We find the colors swirl around
In our hearts love is found
The quiet rustling a whispering sound.
We weave and bob through our life
The wind cuts through like a knife.
Swallow some apple cide
Uncomfortable but don’t decipher
The leaves their veins, the cypher
Change is rough for all of us.
All the new things we mistrust
The leaves fall and turn to dust
We rake them up and readjust
In your eyes the colors turn
With minimal concern
We find the love we have wanted
But our bodies still are haunted
From the autumn changing tides
The many faces, many sides
Life is swaying trees
Falling gliding leaves
The colors showing how we change
We cannot rearrange
The overgrown path
Because we feel wrath
We must feel with empathy
Before we show apathy
We must be quiet and wait
For our already decided fate
