Like a glass picture frame,
Like from some other time,
Like a shot two friends
Taken by you
And then left behind.

I think we were once close,
I think you forgot why.
I think you thought I
Wouldn't understand you,
so you didn't try.

I believe you were scared.
I believe I know why.
I believe you believed
In two different things,
Framed on opposite sides.

So now we've both changed,
Picture two different lives,
And I wonder if I
would have been there for you.
I at least would have tried.
