Fruit of Awareness
The boy asked,
Where did the fruit of awareness go?
This cannot be it, he thought. No way!
The world is too mysterious,
The wonders are too full.
Life is too empty.
There is no way we are all alone.

He begged and pleaded with his father,
Father! Where did the fruit go?
Everything is so perfect,
How can this all be an accident?
Something is missing.
There must be answers.
The ancient wisdom of our ancestors,
Ate the fruit of knowledge,
But my throat is too dry.
My soul is too thirsty,
My heart beats,
But it is only blood.
Did all the knowledge and wisdom get lost,
During the great flood?

The father was wise,
And he looked his son into his thirsty soul.
He answered with the wisdom,
And his soul was full.

He said, "after The Library of Alexandria burned, humans made God in their image."
