Sober and clean for the very first time
each and every moment, this day is mine
the years of addiction that caused me pain
it was the years of distress that made me insane.
My drinking had caused me to be depressed
back at a time when I was feeling distressed
it took me a long time for me to get clean
though I knew one day I would be redeemed.
