Dad
The only Soul not afraid of his growl
The Moon reveals shadows prompting his howl
Born of his brood the Night sets the vicious mood
Comfort under his arm, protecting her from harm
No other beast alive or from the grave lifts their head to peer
Every Man shall come to fear
Wandering the meadows or the dark forests black
Only an arms reach away, she knows no beast shall attack
For if a wandering eye or sinister thought, their final doom is what they will have bought
Alone she toils the night, showing this beast a toad or mouse
Not a care in the World, for forest is her dominion and house
A place not a vicious beast she will fear
As his teachings to protect herself brings mere mortals to tear
Crying as death comes not fast nor painless
Sharing the feast of his victims no remorse nor shameless
As one day the carnage and his spoils will she have bought
With the realization of the hunt as he has taught
When it's time for his curse to end, as he gives her the last rune he shall spend.
Placing them in his eyes as his body no more shall he teach with his demise
Sending his soul on the ferry boat as Charon pockets his toll
Walking away with one last look, alone in the darkest night she shall stroll.
