the fear
In the shadows where the night does creep,
Fear dances with the dreams we keep.
Its tendrils coil around the heart,
A silent whisper tearing us apart.

In the quiet moments before dawn,
Fear's icy fingers linger on.
It speaks of dangers yet unseen,
And all the places we've never been.

But fear is but a trickster's guise,
A veil that covers hopeful eyes.
For in the heart of darkest night,
There lies the spark of inner light.

With every step we dare to take,
Fear's hold upon us starts to break.
For courage blooms where fear resides,
And in its wake, the soul abides.

So let us face the fear we find,
And leave our doubts and worries behind.
For in the end, it's courage true,
That guides us through what we must do.
