my sister hates when i dance in the grocery store, and it makes me cry; because when i dance.. that is the only time i feel alive— the only time i’m out of my mind.
she gets this face, this really stonewalled face— the kind that feels like she’s putting me in my
place, and because of all my empty days.. all my games.. these faces playing charades— somehow it makes me feel out of place, as if i take up ‘too much’ space.

i am so angry that i cannot be given the chance to process these emotions, and i am sorry that i lash out.. and i am sorry that i cannot speak out—.
