The brighter I shine
The higher the line
takes me
the more they'll hate me
but I'll rise up
like the wind
of yesterday
no more games
I shall play

the storm comes
and those ocean eyes
pierce my heart
like the peak
of a mountain
an island life
I see

I know me now
I'll never bow
Down
I'll never bestow
A failure unchangeable
Able to set me down
I'll overcome that major obstacle;

like an island
princess
able to access
her own greater mind.
