My pretty son Aman
You are like a morning sun
Who brings brightness into the life
Glimpse of you at the beginning of the day
Makes the day colourful and bright
Your voice and the words
Your sound of the trains
Your imitation of animated cartoons
Soothes like sounds of humming birds through the day
Watching you play with the toys
Naming the toys with names of your dear friends
Being away but still living in school
Makes way for a wonderful sight
In your mischievous mood
You throw the things here, there and everywhere
But your mischievous laugh
Only puts an end to all that momentary wrath
When you approach and ask for the kiss
And give kiss in return on the cheeks
Do anything in return from studying, writing after it
Bribe in form of kiss only looks pretty and cute
Demanding composing of stories
Where your friends are part of story
And you deal with those wild animals in forest
Make way for a pretty imaginative truce
Your wish and request for being taken out
Spending time in parks and restaurants
Your demand for popcorn at the cinema
Are those small moments which are precious
As the sunsets putting an end to tiresome working day
I look for the moments I can spend with you
Going into the bed with stories, songs, rhymes
Put every other problem of the world behind
