FALLEN EMBERS
It is not the pain that pricks us
no! it's the guise of every action
in the name of pity, we lost it all
like a piece of rag, we were helped
in shame, we applaud our giver
not because they did it for love
but for a show of supremacy
our wounds have been licked in disgust
by the ravaging sight of the rabbies dog
we smile sorrowfully
tears in our eyes, our actions dwindle
to our creator, we owe our lamentations
let the Earth narrate our plight
to the watchful skies of a thousand age
we sing our dirge as we await eternity
for we are already death itself
and cannot die in death again...
