my children , as l lie on this bed
do not be sad ,
I'm but  remember the words that l  have said

Come what may,
maybe ,  I will be far far away
but l look up to the sky,
and pray that good life does not pass you by

while I'm away,
take good care of your young brother Jay
guide him righteously,
so that he will not go astray

my children , crime does not pay
its a foul play
there is only the devil to pay
and guilt will haunt you everyday

l know soon l will fall into a deep sleep
 but be strong and let your roots run deep ,
work hard and earn your keep,
as you sow , so shall you reap


l know that it's hard to say goodbye,
but be strong and don't cry
mommy didn't have a lot of money to buy you a lot of stuff
all l had was a mother's love and l hope that is was enough

l know that one day we will meet in a much better place , 
where we will  forever be  bound  by a  heavenly lace ,
locked in each other's embrace
because of His Amazing grace '

my lovely butterflies ,
l wish that you fly high and touch the sky
and even if l'm buried  six feet under
l want you to never forget
that mommy loves you a lot
