When You’re Seventeen
The Lake District’s feeling cold today,
But the sun’s finally shining in the right way.
And Mr. Morals still lives in a council house,
Yet his happy face still has a bounce.
Up and again, countless days to spend,
When you’re seventeen there’s nothing to apprehend.
When friends have booze they can’t give it to you,
And you try and find things to do.
A head in the clouds can save time,
Imagination costs nothing more than a dime.
While you feel misery, friend stop and think,
The ennui will pass within a blink.
Why have a frown when you can...
