Heartache
It was supposed to be true love,
but our passion was just an illusion,
that you never believed to exist,
but still I believed, our hearts were bound
and you wrote the stars in my name,
convinced me that those nights we could
tame and wake up to beautiful sunrises.

I was then convinced,
we were made for one another,
until after summer you vanished
into the west, where the sun
leads it's followers. you vanished
with everything beautiful,
the flowers you planted in my heart,
were dying for your gentle touch.

the arctic winds eerily blew
I put on your favorite coat,
hoping , it'd remind me of you,
all the things I couldn't see in you,
because I was blinded by love
but still I lay awake at night,
hoping you'd call.
