The Humble Offering
In the vast expanse of life, I may not be well-versed,
With fancy degrees or knowledge, I may be at my worst.
I lack wisdom and intelligence, expertise I lack,
But one thing I can offer, is this simple shoulder to track.

I may not have much to give, in the way of wealth or fame,
But my heart is pure and true, and my intentions are the same.
In times of trouble and despair, when the world feels so gray,
I'll be here for you, my friend, to chase the shadows away.

I know that you have many, others to lean upon,
With strength and power, to help you carry on.
But if ever you feel lost, and in need of a kind ear,
I'll be here waiting, with compassion sincere.

I may not be the smartest, or the most refined,
But my loyalty and love, are unwavering, intertwined.
So lean on me, dear friend, when the burdens weigh you down,
I'll be your rock, your refuge, your safe haven in the town.

Though others may be brighter, and more skilled than me,
I promise to be steadfast, and to be a sturdy tree.
So if you ever need me, know that I'll be near,
To offer you my shoulder, to wipe away the tear.

For in this world so vast, with all its twists and turns,
It's the simple acts of kindness, that help our hearts to yearn.
So take my hand, my friend, and let's walk side by side,
I may not have much to offer, but together we'll abide.

I may not be well educated, or have riches to display,
But I offer you my friendship, in every single way.
And though you may have others, who seem stronger than me,
Know that my love and support, will always be free.
