Walking down the Memory Lane
A faint memory struck my brain,
Enveloping me by tentacles of my past.
A midget smile sat on my face,
And I walked down my memory lane.
My struggle flashed in my sight,
My present glanced my past, & respectfully gave it a side!
Those were the days-
I gave it my all,
Respected by few envied by most of all.
The journey never seem anywhere easy,
Presenting challenges and difficulties,
Pushing destination farther & making more uneasy.
May be that was its Ego!
which was bound to be broken,
May be that is why-
in the end we walked hand in hand like an ally.
A flashback of struggle-so fresh it seems
Intangible in reality yet,
Tangible it feels.
The storms of my past is the reason-
Why I see my present so clear.
This ephemeral moment!
rests a midget smile on my face.
My feets struck a stone,
Steps stumbled,
& I walked out of my memory lane.
