It’s my birthday, and it’s all okay,
No tears this time, like that one year .
Last time I cried when no one wished,
But now I know it’s just how it is.

No calls, no texts, no birthday cheer,
But I’ve learned now—no need to shed a tear.
I guess when no one’s gonna show,
It’s kind of freeing just to know.

No expectations, no grand affair,
Just me, a candle, and some quiet air.
No tears to dry, no fuss to make—
At least this time, there’s nothing to break.
