In earthen times future, the planet became something else,
Skies were full of tall trees, larger than ancient redwoods,
Through canopies of trees, crystal lights blink through rivers
.....
Shimmering fungus glowing, heavenly soft tone colours,
Parasitic fungus, around the earth everywhere,
Locked around vegetation, even in grasslands and green hills
.....
The skies seem different to, textured like an oil painting,
Fungus dust shines like stars, specks of diamonds in the skies,
Like fireflies that shine, like appearing and vanishing embers,
.....
The fungus grew patterns, in symbiotic connections,
Smooth and graceful like artwork, forging tattoos of nature,
Tribes and clans soon arose, from the differences in design,
.....
Though unity arose, since the fungus commanded it,
Though many centuries, humans did try to kill all fungi,
But every living thing, was graced with fine fungus dust,
This is what they called it, like pigments, it dispersed, thrived,
.....
Creating paintings of life, there was no stopping it ever,
Nature finally won, and sought its vengeance quick and fast,
Restored was the dark peat, the sponges of the earth firm,
Shimmering wildlife, and life descended across the earth's expanse,
.....
Infinite spores now fly, from every living thing on earth,
The fungus is now bound, tied into all DNA,
Within cellular depths, more than a virus can ever be,
Humans soon discovered, hive communication, globally,
There was no turning back, diamond silhouettes lifted life,
.....
Across hills and mountains, into deep valleys and woodland,
Into ebbing waters, through lime green wetlands and streams,
In all ecosystems, through the deep depths of deep dark oceans,
Into every city, all the towns of the human race,
.....
Synchronising nature, bringing it into balance,
The hosts changed human depths, influencing their cognition,
Human action changed to, for the benefit of nature,
.....
All concrete building stopped, technology changed completely,
Humans migrated back, to the heart of nature and earth,
Regrowing huge woodlands, the earth is now covered far and wide,
.....
The network now walked free, grand mycelium network,
Humans now existed free, for the benefits of nature,
Animal hunting stopped, it was no longer viable,
Chemicals and enzymes, typical digestion changed,
.....
The fungus like a mist, slowly took over behaviour,
Compelled to leave home, humans left for more natural climates,
Woodlands, grass and trees, humans could not kill all earths trees,
.....
Without killing themselves, the fungus had great defences,
Intuned with chemicals, of the natural soils and trees,
If there is great distances, the fungus became toxic,
.....
Evolution was slow, the destruction of the forests,
Forced nature to react, no one knew where it began,
Paved the way for great change, the earth became violent and stormed,
.....
Fruiting bodies disperse, almost invisible through the skin,
Like all of natures skins, fungus now ensured natures balance,
The ecosystems lived, the hosts kept the humans in check
.....
Humans still remained skilled, no tree was ever cut down,
Humans were forced to live, forced to live in synchronization,
Towns built into woodland, technology became blended tools,
.....
Though communities arose, and people no longer died in war,
Medicine became woodland, there was no need for economy,
We were now free and prey, as animals took back their earth,
.....
The network of fungi, in the soil, and all living things
Providing trees and plants, with life and phosphorus,
As well as nitrogen, chemical make up changed slight,
Like in most natural ways, fungi received sugars from plants,
We were all forever, changed into sessile filamentous,
.....
Embedded in humans, part of the mycelial network,
Hyphal locked deep in life, structures remained cosmetically fine,
The changes were held deep, in every organism on earth,
Our immune systems, accepted radical changes,
Fungal cells became twinned, in unison with biology,
Fungus still evolved fast, until we could breath out atomic spores,
.....
We became human aids, helping vital nutrients,
Through redistribution, into the soils of the earth,
We became guardians, ensuring the earth was safe
We helped the trees evolve, pollution was eradicated,
We became woodland elves, magical reincarnations,
.....
Grand Vibrations of life, echoes now through our essence,
Senses that were long gone, arisen like the sun,
Tingling energy, electrifying waves enhanced,
Synchronized with fungi, the balance natures spirit blended,
Like endless tunes of sounds, nature speaks in all directions,
Even through all seasons, the dance of nature is still pure,
The moon smiles silver, why the skies shimmer colours
Like colours of the spectrum, the fungi illuminates the skies,
.....
We became the ground root, joining the trees in their life,
The living forest changed, it became everything,
The earth was now complete, one unified entity,
The human race was gone, what remained was natures earth.
