Indiana field
#WritcoPoemPrompt108
Just as the rain started to fall,
Forces of good and evil instantly clashed,
In circles and in twirls that darkens all,
Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed,
empty sky
rolling clouds
I miss the silence
endless space
strip my bones
here I lie in a farmers field
under a sign I do not own
I shall never leave
I will my hair to grass
my legs to roots
and for the earth creates to seek sensitive home in me
I am not yours
I am a tree
Just as the rain started to fall,
Forces of good and evil instantly clashed,
In circles and in twirls that darkens all,
Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed,
empty sky
rolling clouds
I miss the silence
endless space
strip my bones
here I lie in a farmers field
under a sign I do not own
I shall never leave
I will my hair to grass
my legs to roots
and for the earth creates to seek sensitive home in me
I am not yours
I am a tree
