Standing at the edge of reality and disbelief,
A broken soul shivers deep,
Was torn and shattered on the reef,
His hands were blue his heart now gray
He was at her doorstep she turned him away.
Promises to stay- with each other all the way
Were mere empty words, now struck his heart like sharp swords.
His palms that once she kissed with life now showed scars of many a strife.
No he would not stay, he would go far far away.
He looked below the sea was deep
he shut his eyes and took a leap
As the wind blew in his hair
He heard a scream of a damsel fair.
You fool it was my father's gun, she said
I did not want to see you dead.
one last time he held her hand
Together that way they hit the sand.
Even today in the moonlit sky they say
Two Birds fly down from the reef in play
Winging together they take a leap
And dissolve into the blue sea deep.
