ln this era we inhabit, I ponder,
Is it fate design?
Or has parenthood faltered,
Failing to instill morals divine?
Is it greed or lust of materialism
On the youth part?
Or perhaps religion and leaders
Have neglected their sacred trust in pursuit of wealth.
Youths shun hard work's noble path,
Dreaming of luxury life.
Girls forfeit their self-worth
In pursuit of a facade to impress their fellow gender.
Ritualist and cyber criminals
Rechristen as yahoo,
We celebrate as heroes
Of the norm.
Prostitution, rebranded as hookups,
Is flaunted openly
On social media Stage.
Chaos is worn as a badge
Of honour, displayed for all to see,
We have embraced the shame,
And virtue is lost.
How did it come to this, I ponder still,
Where are the morals and ethics
Of our beautiful past?
