I look into the mirror and realise
I can no longer recognise
The eyes that look back at me
Were no longer mine.
As if I'm possessed
No longer in control
I stare at the mirror, smiling,
A smile I no longer recognise.
Others didn't seem to have noticed
But I did...
Slowly he had been taking over
And I know it will continue...
Continue until I no longer exist.
And I watch on helplessly
Letting him take over my self.
Though on days I wonder
Are we really that different?
I fear...
I fear a day will come
And I will realise we aren't.
Underneath it all,
It always had been me.
