**Whispers in the Moonlight**
In shadows cast by the harvest moon,
Where laughter hides a monstrous tune,
The streets adorned with masks and spook,
A façade of joy, but take a look.
With candy smiles and tricks of fate,
The air is thick with a sinister weight.
Pumpkin grins, they flicker and fade,
In the heart of night, real horrors invade.
Crimson leaves beneath our feet,
A chilling whisper, a haunting beat,
The shadows move where no eyes dare roam,
And in every heartbeat, a specter feels home.
“Join us,” they call, from ghastly dreams,
With hollowed eyes that flicker like beams.
Promises sweet as the treats they share,
Hide gnashing teeth in a cloak of despair.
For every child in a ghostly guise,
There’s a darkness lurking, masked by lies.
The haunted houses, the thrilling fright,
Veil the truth in the dead of night.
A blade in the apple, a snare in the sweet,
Deception wrapped in the sugar we meet.
As shadows dance in a devil’s play,
Trust in their laughter could lead you astray.
Beware the glow of the spectral light,
For Halloween hides in its spirited fright.
What seems like fun can twist and unwind,
In the grip of the night, we’re all intertwined.
So dance if you dare, but hold onto your soul,
For the whispers of evil shall take their toll.
And when dawn breaks, with its bright, piercing call,
Will you remember who trusted it all?
