The vibe i get
in those hospice premises
though not always
yet makes me feel regret
as soon as you enter
those staffs waiting for their work to get over,
finishing the vitals, medicine stuffs,
getting ready for doctor's rounds,
receiving orders to change those soiled dressings,
to make the patients look tidy is even your duty,
one mistake and you are no more considered a human being,
horrible is the day of surgery,
that beep beep beep from holter's,
i feel its a intruder,
kills the concentration,
but keeps me awake to keep the patient stable,
the responsibility i get,
while i receive the neonate in my hand,
literally, my heart skips a beat
when they announces Code Blue,
and then there arrives a huge crew,
moreover, the superintendent runs
if any fault she finds with me,
and the worst part
i do everything as their own
still i get the feel of mourn,
and in the end
it me who's torn
