We wail while women watch and weep in white
another tragedy has danced into our comic story
solemnly we sit and narrate life's ordeal
as life conquers death by dying to life
without a farewell kiss, momma went on
for beyond possible sight, she travels far
her memory taps our hearts at every pulse
and dada becomes agitated, ever worried
in no mean time, he joins her in white
watching us from above in the skies
the same lagoon which ate momma, vomitted dada
at the river bank where our shames lay hold
and now we are at the lagoon, ready to share our ordeal
waiting for the river to take us back home
to where momma and dada awaits us in joys
