HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day,
To you for whom my life gleams bright.
And dreams ain't bleak and grey.
I feel so blest in dreary nights,
And fete each soulful day.
You aid me triumph in e'ery fight,
And preach me sapience each day,
And hold me apart from treacherous plights,
By letting me learn each play.
'Tis all for you and 'tis your day,
A Happy Mother's Day.

I play with joy and ne'er worry,
For all that's grim and dark.
I triumph each war with tinselled glory,
For you whose godly spark,
Guide me roads in e'ery story,
To learn each arduous work,
And thus my life in merriment sway,
And with all ebullience to you I say,
Happy Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day,
To you for whom I fete good food,
And cherish my life: too gay,
And memories of my blest childhood,
Is all I savour each day.
Your tenderness and not being rude,
And protecting me all day,
Bring me tears as deep I brood,
And walk lone thru' the way.
Yet to God I pray for good,
And seek His blessings to pay,
My soulful offerings for happy moods,
And your happier smile each day.

You've given me all that's grand,
And all that holds good love.
All that's there in seas and lands,
And there in the skies above.
A smiling face is all you seek,
And heal me off ill minds.
To feed the poor, frail and weak,
And serve this whole mankind,
Are lessons I've always heard you speak,
And thus grasped with an agile mind.
O divine nymph do let me say,
These words of love to you today,
A Happy Mother's Day,
A very Happy Mother's Day.
