Life's Stock
#WritcoPoemChallenge
Tick tock goes the clock,
Tick tock, it's time to take stock,
Of all life's struggles.
It's a little joy here,
It's a little sorrow there.
A raging thunderstorm here,
A big half-moon rainbow there.
As rain brings occasional spotting of gold.
Sometimes we are wrapped in coal.
A sun warm'd heat today,
A bare hope of sweet tomorrow.
Life could smell like a rose,
Then again, it could sting like a thorn.
Moments of hearing the birds eaves,
Reapers do sing as they gather the reaves.
Most times there will be a familiar hand.
There are times when all you are a tardy sand.
Periods you want to feel your hair,
But then you wish to breathe a scented air.
A few time you had a magic wand,
Other time life just hold in bound.
Sometimes it lasts forever the winter,
Last time the sun rose early for summer.

Tick tock goes the clock
Tick tock here it's time to bring the chickens home to the roost🙏
