BEHIND THOSE WALLS...

Behind those damaged walls,
Remains a man who once controlled everything,
From the thick forest to the vast savannah,
I can hear the faint echoes of a man's lonely cries,
His barring tone of despair,
As he constantly reminisces about his better past,
A mighty man with a solemn voice sits in the dark,
That moment of silence is void of a spark.

Behind those weakened walls,
Remains a man who once conquered,
From the Irokos down to the flowery plants,
A man who proudly sat at the Gulf of Guinea,
A majestic walk suddenly turned into a walk of shame,
"Boss" neighbors ran to him for help,
"Oga" every one knew about him...
"Idan" surely a man who was accomplished.....

Behind those cracked walls,
Remains a man who had potency,
He controlled the market with so much will power.
A man who stood tall, circumstances finally caused a mighty fall,
Now there is a tear in his eyes,
Memories of glory that are now fleeting.

Behind those walls,
A man wanders through empty spaces lost and forgotten,
He cries for help but no one listens..........
A man that once had patriotism crested on his chest,
Can't even be called the best of the best,
On the borders of Benin, he was being revered.
"Pheeew".... behind those walls a mighty soldier has fallen....
