Smother me with the weight of your blankets
I want to be consumed whole by the gentle and quiet of the underneath
The abrasive soundlessness that grates my ears and head with inaudible wailing ring out in unfinished melodies
Suffocate me under my trusty pillow
One that's left me rightfully starved of my jagged breath
End my voiceless affliction so that you can once again sleep to the noises of the traffic outside
Because my silent sitting is more painful to the one who has to watch as my streams of human existence singe my flushed cheeks
Don't wipe my tears away,
not yet
I don't want to be touched right now
