FREEDOM AND LIBERATION
A land so wealthy and fertile,
Yet so diverged and filled with thorns,
A populace so powerful and wise,
Yet so conquered and overruled,
A time of peace and evolution,
Yet so bloodied and tension-filled.
Through the land,
They came, plundered, and stole,
They wounded and spread lies and filth,
They cared not about the young and old,
They commanded heartlessly,
While the people longed and coveted for freedom.
The people fought and fell in war zones,
And suffered for years and decades,
Their blood spilled remained on the lands,
A quantity no river can drain,
Yet the shackles of pain remained,
The scars, a constant refrain.
Their story of bravery and courage,
And acts of selfless devotion,
Can never be forgotten forever,
They shed and bled,
They toiled, sweated, and cried,
For this nation to rise!
