That Day That I First Saw You
I was just looking at your picture, trying to figure
out why? Why was I the one for you, instead some other
guy. Then I thought of the miracles and how some soon
forget. That our Lord still answer prayers, He has not
let me down yet! That day, that I first saw you. The
day, you stepped off the plane. My heart was going
thump-a-de-thump, cause I thought I'd seen your angel
wings. Then with the smile you gave me. I thought I
was going insane. As stunning as you stood there. I
almost forgot my name. So, with your arms around me,
and a hug oh! so nice. I thought I felt someone throw
up our wedding rice. I stood there remembered praying.
Over & over again. Oh Lord, please send someone, Who'd
stay until the end. In the car I squeezed your hand,
And you squeezed mine back. I knew right then,I knew
right there, I didn't want you to go back. So,we had
stopped to eat. I was looking at my Queen. I let you
walk in front of me. So I could see your (angel) wings.
We sat there talking about life's joyful things. I was
wondering if you'd stay with me. Or what our future bring.
