You may heard of many times about one side love. Lots of movies and books has been wrote regarding this matter. In Ben case, It was about one side lust.

He had a lust on her best friend Bristi. She love to hug him. Hold his hands. Put head on his shoulders. Basically, their bond was stronger enough that she able to feel comfortable with physical touch but non sexual way.
