The Idea of Reincarnation 🤔
#WritcoStoryPrompt111
If you believe in reincarnation, who would you choose as your next life form if you had the chance? But if you don't believe in it, explain why.
As individuals we grow to pattern our beliefs to what suits us, they are called “choices”. This life is like a giant playground that we all get the opportunity to play in.
Within this enormous play area there are many intellectual toys we can choose to learn from.
And so I will not judge others for not choosing the same toy as me. Because we all have a choice to everything in life.
So my belief might differ to yours, but it doesn't mean any of us is right or wrong.
But if you really think about the concept of reincarnation, it's essentially uploading yourself and your spirit into a new form, a new hard drive as it were. Now that's fascinating and would only be possible in an enchanting movie.
I wouldn't consider myself to be a religious person, but I'd say that I'm very spiritual.
Reincarnation to me is a story we tell, then in the end it's the story itself that is the only reincarnation.
I think that when it comes to losing someone, we all try to find a way of getting through the griefing process and so reincarnation is a way of making us feel better about what happens to their souls after death.
Although I hope at least that reincarnation is true, however sadly I don't believe that it is.
I do believe that all three explanations, eternal life, reincarnation, and nothingness, are all descriptions of the same reality.
I read somewhere that life is the joy of the blessed, the sorrow of the sad, and a search for death.
But what is death? it could be described as an inevitable happening, an uncertain pilgrimage, the tears of the living, the thief of man. So the belief of reincarnation, lessens the fear of eternal damnation, as the individual may feel that they will always have another chance to do things right even if they made a mistake in life. They can improve their karma by doing good deeds and acts of kindness and compassion through reincarnation.
And there’s nothing wrong with such beliefs.
But to believe in reincarnation, you'd also have to believe that there's such a thing as a ghost who masquerades as a person.
Do you also believe that there are people whose bodies are still alive here on earth but whose souls are already in hell?
It is interesting to note that the mere idea of Reincarnation would mean there are a lot of people around without souls, how exactly does that make sense to you?
Besides your soul cannot hold information and knowledge, that is the job for the brain. And if our souls, leave our body when we die, then that means the brain would remain in the body. And in reincarnation, the soul would go to a new body, with a new brain.
Now this is where it makes no sense at all to say you remembered a past life, because as a fetus brain is not fully developed and it cannot withold or carry such information to begin with. And secondly since it's a new brain then all the memories from the last brain are lost and you have a fresh start.
Although we may experience Daja Vu, a feeling of already experienced the same situation.
But reincarnation brings about no scientific evidence at all. It's fair to say that science is limited to our physical world and our physical senses.
So it's all just a matter of our faith and spirituality.
But I don't believe in reincarnation, sorry guys but I'm not coming back as a cat or a beautiful flower, although Id like to.
I do believe in an higher power somewhere in the clouds and that we are all eternal beings trying hard to discover the mystery of life and after death.
Therefore I think that reincarnation is an illusion created by those living in fear of themselves and do not wish for there physical life to end. It is also my belief that if someone leave this world without ever having a child, then there'll be no trace of them left behind.
Because I do believe that when we have children we past on our genetics, our norms, our values and our history. It is then up to them to decide what they do with the latter.
But regardless of what they do in life, it still mean that we continue to be reborn through them, our grand children, great grandchildren and so on all part of the same bloodline.
That means, in a sense, we are being reincarnated through our children, our children are indeed our legacy!!!
What's your thoughts??
