Words Unsaid
It's 9 AM & I am standing in the metro, on way to my office just like any other day and so is everyone else. Standing near the door I peek outside from the windows of the door, watching the world move backwards as the train accelerates forward.

Slowing down my view is interrupted by another train on the adjoining track. The train stops and my eyes meet her, standing near the door, with a pair of specs on those deep brown eyes. Hairs flowing down her face, covering her face partially. From frowning on the sudden interruption by the train, my heart skips a beat and mind kicks out everything just to focus on her and the way those flicks make their way on to her face again as if trying to hide her from my vision.

With a realization of a relatively long-stop, she looks up suddenly only to find me staring at her. Our eyes meet and I try to raise my hand to just wave at her, but the gesture comes from her side first.

With a technical error in place and some time in hand, we both initiate our introduction in sign language.

I try my best, but she seems like a pro in it.
The train is about to move and before I can think of something, she turns her phone towards me with her number written on it.

She asks me to copy it.
Just as we are done, the train departs and we move in opposite directions to our destinations.

Reaching my station, I check my phone and there is a text from her.
(Hi, It's Nisha here. Just small information for you to know that I can't speak.
I text back" since when has a conversation between two people been dependent on talking"?

She replies with a smile.
