Finding Solace in Words
Today, Dr. Anjali returned to her workplace after enjoying a wonderful summer vacation with her small family, comprising her husband and son. During the holidays, she kept herself occupied with various official tasks that were pending due to her absence from home. They all went together to their respective offices and later rejoined after completing their duties. Anjali was thrilled to witness her son's growing confidence as he interacted with officers at different offices. She cherished the opportunity to expose him to various aspects of work, believing it essential for a hassle-free life.
During their vacation, the family visited their guruji's ashram seeking his blessings. However, after 15 days of busy work during the holidays, Anjali returned home at work place with a heavy heart, taking a public bus in the morning. The journey was exhausting, and she dozed off, waking up only when she reached her destination.
Feeling tired and the weather being scorching hot, Anjali had a cup of tea and went back to bed for some rest. Unfortunately, lunch remained uncooked. Her days at work started to become disorganized, sometimes skipping meals and even sleeping without eating. Her heart ached as she remembered her beloved daughter who had passed away nine months ago, and there was no one to take care of her.
Her elder daughter from the USA would call her via WhatsApp every morning and evening, and the phone became Anjali's only connection to the outside world. It was her sole source of entertainment. Now, she spends her free time talking to herself and finding solace in writing poems. Poetry has become her closest friend, and words her constant companions.
