Krishna & me - part -XIV
Me - Krishna, what if everyone in this world followed the path of dharma & everyone becomes dharmi( righteous)

Krishna (God) - For that you have to tell what dharma means

Me - Dharma means duties & responsibilities of living beings

Krishna (God) - Dharma is not just duty, it duty performed with honesty, morality and without any partiality

Me - And what if everyone performed their duties rightly?

Krishna (God) - I'll answer this, but you have to answer my one last question.

Me - what question?

Krishna (God) - Imagine, you are going school for an exam , on the way to school you see someone met with an accident and needs your help, but if you help that person, you will not be able to attend exam. What will you do?
Will you help that person? Or leave him/her and go for exams?

Me - I would save the person.

Krishna (God)- Then what about your Dharma as a student?

Me - I.. I would leave the person injured & go to school

Krishna (God)- Then what about your Dharma as a human being) citizen? ( Smiles)

Me - Then what should one do Krishna?

Krishna (God) -If your helping that person then your doing Dharma
And if you leave the place with pain in your heart, and go to attend your exams,Then you are doing swadharma.

Me - Swadharma? What is Swadharma?

Krishna (God) -Swa means own, Dharma means duty. Swadharma is your duty or duty assigned to you. Dharma is doing what is right.

Me - Then what's Adharma?

Krishna (God) - Adharma would be neither going to school nor helping out the person, you do nothing, doing no dharma or duty  many a times when people can't choose between two or more things they tend to quit the work, thus they end up doing Adharma. Hurting anyone, doing bad to someone or voilence without any reason or even not being to others without any reason is Adharma

Me - But how to know difference between Dharma & Adharma?

Krishna (God) - The difference is very simple, Adharma deteriorates the soul while the Dharma upholds it.

Me - But what if everyone followed their dharma

Krishna ( God) - It's is very rare situation where everyone might follow Dharma, because most of the people don't know what is Dharma or are not enlightened about it. But if everything in the world followed Dharma(living as well non - living beings) The world will be free from misery. And world will be full of happiness, harmony & peace.
