Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple
The Padmanabhaswamy
Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated
to Vishnu in Thiruvananthapuram,
the capital of the state of Kerala, India.

It is one of the 108 Divya Desams which are considered the sacred abodes of Vishnu in the Sri Vaishnava tradition.

The principal deity is Padmanabhaswamy (Sanskrit: पद्मनाभस्वामि)a form of Vishnu enshrined in the "Anantashayana" posture, engaged in eternal yogic sleep on his serpent mount,The ancient temple has a mysterious 7th door that holds

secrets and treasuresExploring this sacred place not only reveals its amazing wealth but also the difficulties in opening the secret door.

The door is special, guarded by cobras, and locked with ancient chants that are now forgotten.

On 17 January 1750, Anizham Thirunal surrendered the Kingdom of Travancore to Padmanabhaswamy, the main deity at the temple, and pledged that he and his descendants would be vassals or agents of the deity who would serve the kingdom as Padmanabha Dasa.

Another interesting story states that the temple priests tried unlocking the door over a hundred years ago so they could use the treasure to save the country from the ongoing famine at the time.

But as they got closer, they could hear gushing waves behind the door. Legend has it that it is connected to the Arabian
Sea!

It is believed that opening of this vault could make the Lord extremely angry and annoyed.
The main deity Padmanabhaswamy is enshrined in the 'Anantha-sayanam' position – the eternal sleeping position of Yoga Nidra on the serpent Anantha

Vault B has not been opened since at least the 1880s. The Supreme-Court-appointed committee-members, based on the 2014 amicus curiae and audit reports, cited instances of irregularities and mismanagement in the affairs of the temple.

Sixth door of Shri Padmanabhaswamy temple is full of mysteries. It is said that the door is not locked by some usual locks but by secret mantras.

Probably the ancestors of the royal family locked it by mantras so that they would save their treasures from invaders

The temple is renown from the early medieval Tamil literature (6th–9th centuries), with structural additions to it made throughout the 16th century, when its ornate Gopuram was constructed. Among the six chambers in the Temple, Chamber B is very closely associated with Sri Padmanabhaswamy.
