changing hurricanes
The storm had come and gone this storm was about the worst Dela had ever gone through.
Dela felt relieved and the only thing that would've made her feel better it's to be with him. The phone rang
you alright the voice asked,
do you care she answered
Knowing what his situation is made her think in her solitude during the storm.
you know I do he said
I really could've use you, I needed you and don't tell me about your situation cause I already know.
You know I'm not much for talking, he said
Ok bye Dela said hanging up on him.
Dela was a hair dresser abling her to all the latest news which his is Karen.
Karen was the woman he lives with they took vows but their not married not to each other.
You know some people can point out every one of your mistakes one by one,
when their mistakes are the same as yours
but they don't think their mistakes are wrong.
Now that was Sila known in this shop as Mouth Almighty cause she tells everything.
Me being nosey I asked who you talking bout
Philis,
Philis what they call Karen here in the shop meaning she's Phyllis Diller.
Only because she's dragg truth be told she's a pretty woman or I think she is.
Me myself I'll give her a 8, she thinks she's a 10 and she could be without all the makeup.
You listening to me Sila asked which I wasn't.
I wouldn't never gave that up if I was you she said why you let her have yo man?
I'm not one for pushing myself on nobody
I'll begg maybe once or twice to try to make things work but after that I'm gone.
I was in love he was in lust after all the big buts
and boobs.
I don't look like that and you know it
and I never will.

He don't love her she said,
he must've he married her Dela said come on
go to the dryer.
He handsome I'll give him that, that brother fine Sila said moving to the dryer.
Yes he is and he know it and him being fine
he be with every woman he want to.

Sila was Dela's last wash so she packed up and went home. The Carsons she call them live on 5th and Main Dela lives on Main and Delaware 4 blocks down and across.
Across the tracks I mean and if it sounds like she's jealous of them it's because she is and she'll admit to anybody.
What she got that I don't have, what she doing these questions are valid so don't act you don't know what I'm talking about.
Some of us have been there and back.
The thing is that she has got to pass their house to get to her shop and back and just about anywhere else.
She thought about moving after they got married but she put too much time and money in her house.
Dela's house was a three bedroom one bath until she knocked down the wall turning the first two into her a master.
Her phone rings everytime she pass their house him letting her know he sees her.
He doesn't ever say anything unless she's not there and that night she was lonely for him.
When the phone doesn't stop on the second ring it means she gone so she answered hello,
::you're an amazing soul beneath all that cold not that you have to be he said..
Dela could just feel him..
Now you know I don't have any business talking to you she said she must be gone.
Dela respects him as her husband and her as his wife which makes her feels guilty.
Because she promised the Lord that she wouldn't never be with married man
ever again.
She would when she didn't know any better but she knows better which make her be lying to the Lord hense the guilt.

When they got married she stopped talking to him but he still want to talk to her.
Sometimes a man can talk a hole in your head big enough to drive a truck through.
::I wanna see you she said.
::You see me all the time she said..
::you know what I mean..
Dela hung up on him.
