Speed Dating
As far as dates go this one seemed to be going well. He was good looking, funny and just had a way of making her feel comfortable around him, his name was Jasper Foster he was twenty eight years old and had never done speed dating before, this was the first time for Raven Newtown too, she was twenty four years old, who spent most of her time at work, so had agreed to try out speed dating with her friend Kelly who had been pressing the buzzer for the next man to come in a lot.
It had been quite different for Raven, as Jasper had fallen into his chair quite literally, which had given them both something to laugh at straight from the get go. He had brunette well styled hair and looked as though he worked out on a regular basis, she couldn't help being drawn to his blue eyes that seemed to glisten in the sunlight and his handsome smile, he had an accent too but she just couldn't place where he was from, all she knew was he had kept her interested enough to stay at the table to talk to him.
"You know I had no intention to join this speed dating thing" he admitted to her
"And now?" She asked
"I'm glad I fell into the golden chair" he told her gently. She gave him a reassured smile, she was keen to get to know him, she found him extremely interesting as well as funny, he seemed to be ticking all her boxes. Not that she had made a tick list but if she had done it he would be.
"I'm glad you did too"
"So, apart from speed dating what else do you like to do?" he asked her
"This is the first time I've ever been speed dating, I kinda got ordered to come from my good friend over there"
"The one over there, who seems to be pressing that buzzer like it's going out of fashion?" he asked, she nodded
"She has a high tick list" Raven stated truthfully.

Kelly was twenty five and had a vision of what her dream guy was like, she had a vision of who he should be, the problem was she had set her visions so high Raven couldn't imagine any guy fulfilling her tick list, even though she hoped for Kelly that someone would fit the bill. She was a pretty person with blonde curly hair, which really suited her, with big brown eyes and a big personality, she had been on more dates than Raven had, had new handbags which said a lot as she loved her hand bags and regularly had a new one.

"You don't strike me as a woman who loves the dating scene." he noticed
"No not really, I work crazy hours, long shifts the works but as A everyone likes to remind me, I need a life outside of work." she found herself admitting
"Nothing wrong with being committed to your job" he told her.
"I practically live at work" she pointed out
"Your a dedicated person no problem with that"
"She's over dedicated" a voice said at the side of them, they both turned to look at Kelly who was now standing at their table.
"Not going well tonight, huh!?" Raven asked her
"Not in the slightest, this dating thing is not turning out how I planned it" she stated gently pulling up a chair to join them, "plus I was meant to meet someone tonight and he hasn't even showed up" she moaned
