Unmasking The Billionaire's Heart.
Prologue.
“Agnes! oh my God. You look...”
Marie shifts from her chair staring at me like I was plastered an alien look on my face. No matter how I tried to conceal my bugs this morning, I couldn't hide them. My eyes were still bloodshot from crying the whole night .
I scurried my body forward tired already of the remaining one meter or so.
“Is it that obvious,?” my voice is almost a whisper as I set my bag on my mahogany desk.
“Totally,” She shouts standing and walking towards me. The last thing I want right now is questions about what happened yesternight.
I lip smile, the process hurting more than the heartbreak. The worst thing is trying to mask your feelings but deep down you know you're a bomb trying not to explode because in all your brokenness and skriking threats you are trying to reduce calamities. I exactly felt that and it was literally killing me alive.
The events of last night replays itself again, this time with so much force that I feel my head exploding. I don't know how I will survive this feeling or I just let it kill me slowly. I'm hurt beyond brokenness, all I want right now is to collect the pieces of me let but how'd I start?.
“Agie you know you can trust me right?,”
I nod as my friend taps on my back slowly soothing the pain but I can't feel it fading. A sting of pain caused through my heart as she looks me in the eye , a huge evident of pity behind them, I couldn't help the tears flowing down drenching on my white tank top.
She envelops me into her embrace stroking my braided hair.
“Calm down now babe,” She whispers.
I let out sobs escape my mouth as I prepare on telling her everything. From Divan cheating on me,not literally cheating on me but using me.
A fresh sob escapes as it downs to me that I was just his side bitch all along.
I lift my head slightly to find her eyes. I chew my lips and release a sigh before closing my eyes again.
“Marie,” I call out her name weakly like I was going to break at any moment.
“ Divan broke up with me last night. He declared everything Marie,” I manage to say amid of my tears.
My voice is so small that I'm scared of my own vulnerability. She eyes me, pacing through the room with so much rage.
“That son of a bitch,” She mutters incoherently.
“Its time to draw back the plan”
I nod, not knowing what was awaiting me after the plan. If I knew earlier I wouldn't have played along because at the process I crossed his path, the most feared man; the mafia boss himself. Chadwick Mwangi.
