A destructive path !

The car sped through the dark night, it's headlights flashing, warning the incoming traffic.It was raining outside.The rain wipers were made on by the driver for clarity in seeing through the glass.The car rushed to the hospital.There were Grace , Joji, Joji'swife inside.Today is Alfred's fourth day in the hospital.He was admitted because of some problems in the heart.
His marriage with Grace is about six years back.No children they have.Grace is a very beautiful lady..I never saw her in his Ice cream shop except the previous day.Tony was his only confectioner.A tenager...so was his preparation with in a few minutes He was supported by one or two but we can't ssee their presence always.Alfred was there in cash.
Neena is a girl who sometimes came to the shop of Alfed.The customers can see her talking to tony without more introduction.That girl is so talkative.So she didn't need any preface.I also feel astonished whether how they become friends easily.Most of the customers thought love exist between them.And it was more or less real.But tony is not at all more involved.As he was a tenager,she is targeting some other job of much earnings. Joji was Alfred's younger brother and Anu younger to paul..Anu was once my classmate and she later changed her school.I sometimes saw her while exams on afternoons were conducted in both schools while moving on the road. Samuel,his father was an engineer and mother Anna was a very good lady .
I,my parents with relatives sometimes visited his shop...usually after a long journey to our nearby city.
As their business is going well...everyone expect it will develop to a huge shop and two or three children born to them as they were young!
But when we visited his shop lastly,to our surprise,a same shop of ice cream on the other side of the road had emerged...which seeked much attention....but most of them like to be a customer of Alfed as their exist a speciality in his shop of privacy and innocence and love they hold on.He started this business after his graduation and studied in a very good school earlier.But his younger brother Joji is interested in his studies and wanted to be a lecturer.
One year passed .Three months back when we returned after purchasing new dress for wearing the festivals advent,we went to his shop and saw him preparing ice creams...No one was there.The confectioner Tony was not there.No one came to his shop except us and only another one more.At the sametime we can see a lot of people rushing to his neighbouring shop having modern facilities....but we learned from someone that the icecreams in huge jars in his shop is better to taste than of other shops.
We asked "Alfie,What happened?He smiled and said"My business has been moving dull for about three months...We saw some difficulty in that smile...."All are attracted by fantacies....snack items in the well lighted shelves....side by side with the icecreams!
My parents console him"Above all.....It is the choice of customers...so you should also do something different...It will take time to realize the truth....
"Tony is not here.No work here for him.How I pay him?He didn't accept my payment without any work?So he went to another shop which is situated one kilometre away from here..there is no problem between us...for his sake of living....
Opportunities has very important place in our life.Only a timely opportunity can do something or can change your direction of life...only for a few...most expectations will come true...we are destined to live in the path of fate...Desires in their extremes will come true sometimes....some day...some where... but we are not sure about its longivity....God or nature itself is responsible for that...others are your destiny...natural...long-lasting!
Neena came to Alfred's shop and asked"Where is Tony?"gone somewhere?She was preparing for graduation along with Tony.But Tony was not a day scholar.He has time only to attend the night classes and prepare for exams.She wanted to see him.Alfred directed her to the shop one kilometres away and smiled.He know the love affair she has with Tony but he purposefully never asked him about it as he don't know whether he is serious or not...Though he consider her,alfred can't see love in his eyes...Not sure..whether he is trying to delay it?
Ten days back when we went to the town for purchase.we went to his shop...there were no one in the shop...But t he preparation were done by the Grace...that beautiful lady...Why?We never had seen her before!Where is alfred ?What happened to him?Why she alone prepare icecreams?Why opened it daily as there is only one or two customers?Thoughts in the form of questions arises in mind...But we waited a little more?
After sometime Tony came there...for a while to help her...we asked"Alfred...."
No strong feelings or desperation was there in his face...She was not blowned totally...She...with confidence...I can remember when I last see her in the shop with her blue churidar...No customers were there..only I, my parents and two relatives as customers at that moment.They asked"Tony....you here..."Do you come back?""No,I came here to help Grace"Grace told him"Whether you met Neena...She came here asking for you yesterday"Silence entered for a while.."I saw her later..""No...nothing important...He noded his head.We asked"Grace,Where is Alphie..?"He is in the hospital for two days....his sister was there beside him.He asked me to opened the shop and he will be back after two days... Joji came there frequently.
That night ,they rushed in car and saw him dead because of heart attack!...his sister crying beside him...
After a week Grace went to his shop for taking something from there inside.When she entered for about half an hour...Tony came there...He asked him"Are you going to lock the shop?"She said"Yes,really for ever!
"But you...Your life?"
"What life I have without him?"
"I asked whether I help you...Shall you come with me.. as my life partner?He said"I know that I am not a perfect match for you by any means...only I think is your safety...I can love you in depths..Sometimes I only can...."
Not thinking seriously she answered"No never...I have Alfred for my entire journey...He, not with body...is a reality ...but his mind and soul is here...I can't even imagine another life ..our unsaid expectations between us....our few years of marriage...with no children...his business...destruction...death!.I can't forgot all this....never!
We both have expectations...dreams...desires...but within our minds...we never shared it...a house! ...as we are living in a joint family...all modern facilities...our children...like all others...but his business faced destruction...He had lost his life...
"I am his only partner...Only supporter in life.Everything he had is lost for ever...only a sister and brother left...They have their own life.. I wanted to remain for him....through out..without loss...As my name is Grace I wanted him to get some Grace even in the end.
"For me life is too short...I wish this will be our end of life!...though my body exist here for years...Here...infront of these shop...all our desires are over...All our expectations are completed...All our expectations were broken and vanished...infront of these lanes near the road ....but You have a long life infront of you....so many expectations ....opportunities....Do you notice that girl Neena...She yesterday came here to see you...She is loving you...To my opinion She is a good girl...so try to understand her...then if you like her ...marry her...I am not really compelling you...I know.. both of you have many other choices....It is mere an oppurtunity infront....now!
When she looked into his face She can see his face dimmed with thoughts...He can't make a decision suddenly.
"You...your life...?
"I will go to my house ....two districts far....I am returning....my parents were there...my brother's house is near to it.If you both married,come there once...a lot of welcome for you two..lookafter her carefully..not abandon her in any life circumstance..wishing a lot of goodness for you ever....for your help you had done for us...for the last six years...I am saying thanks on behalf of him!....If time allows I want to complete my studies which was breaked off because of my marriage.
With the key of the shop in hand in that last seconds she stood with Tony apathetically...While looking outside they can see Neena walking to the bus stop for going to the college.She never looked at the shop...but they smiled each other that a glad news w hich was her wish is waiting for her!!!
