THE RISE
"When I breathe. The air u entertain. I get a rise. Unlike any around. Don't believe me? Come Hop up n sit on my pane."

"Don't worry you'll be fine. Let me tell you a story. It's about an empress and her emperor. One day. This damsel was walking in the rain."

He continues...
"All by herself. No one was within her range. With each step. Her dress was getting drenched."

Furthermore.. She was so far from home. Her throat parched. Although there was just a little drop of water. Left in her canteen. Her thirst wouldn't have been quenched. Not even a little bit.

Lost and confused. She had no sense of direction. It was turning dark. There was no sun nor moon to be shown. She knew within her innocent mind. If she couldn't find any shelter. A cold she'll surely catch.

While the wolves howled off in the far off distance. Weary and scared. She only felt better. By the tears dispelled down her beautiful shivering face.

Tired and drained. She felt her footsteps getting heavier. Oh she was so weak. Then she remembered her little brother.

You see he was born only a few days earlier. Her mother was home without her father. He was away at war. Only the town's maiden was there to comfort her.

Well at least that was one worry she had from her mind that was allowed to escape.

Her attention goes to her socks n shoes. They were saturated now too. She was cold. Only knew to keep walkjing. Just wanted to be home. In her feather bed. And laying her head on her pillow.

Her mind started hallucinating now too she thought. She was now hearing her name being called. It was her late grandmothers voice.

The voice it said to her. "Yes you are far from home. But you have to believe. Help will soon come to you." Furthermore she told her...
"Just keep moving. You'll make it through. This was all in the grand plan."

Not understanding what all this meant. She thought she should listen. And keep on moving. For her heart was strong. And her spirit was determined. It all would be her saving grace.

Well now she's much further in the dark forest. Definitely getting even more lost. All the while the ground was getting even more slippery. More tears flowed down her cheeks. But now she couldn't tell. Which were the tears. From the rain drops.

All she knew is she was in dire trouble. N needed to sleep. Her legs and ankles ached. Not to forget. Her feet were cold, pruned and cramping too.

She was at her wits end. Her breathing was heavy. And couldn't get her thoughts straight anymore. Not that they were in line before. But now she's losing hope. Well as you should already know. Once hope goes. So does the will.

Sure enough. In a split moment of losing her hope to succeed. She abruptly falls to the muddy ground. And she now is in a rut. Of a deep puddle. Her eye lashes close together. While her eyes shut.

Cheeks cold and clammy from the effort. Her body exerted. It was now very serious! Her situation turned from bad to worse.

Now she lay there barely conscious. Her body shut down. There was no more gas in her reserves. She passed out completely.

As she lay there motionless. Critical minutes and hours pass. Her breath was no longer strong. Her heart now seemed to faintly beat.

She needed assistance now more than ever before. Her life lay in the balance. Where only a miracle. Or an angel would ever be able to save her.

The once howling wolves started smelling her human scent. Like bad luck. They made their way to her. Then came and surrounded her. Ready to feast. Licking her and gnawing on her clothes. Trying to get to her flesh.

All seemed lost now. The rope of success now split. Off into the brink of death. Then all of a sudden the ground shook. And there was the noise of a galloping horse. Coming up fast upon her.

Sure enough the wolves split off. And ran in all different directions. Scattering from the scene. Where her body lay still and motionless.
Her clothes tattered and torn. Ripped into shreds. From the sharp ravenous fangs. Of the starving wolves.

The horse that was coming up fast. Suddenly buckled and raised up on its hind legs. Almost trampling over her seemingly lifeless body.

Her soon to be hero. Rode on-top of the once galloping horses back. Holding on tight to the lead. He looked down and around. To see what startled the horse. Couldn't see a thing. The rain was falling heavier by now.

And just when he realized there wasn't a thing to see. There was a faint moan. Coming from the forest muddy ground. He was shocked by what his eyes could now see. A fair young lady. Layed upon the mud and fallen leaves.

Stunned, he reached down and looked for a pulse. To see if she was alive. He did feel a faint pulse. So he grabbed her ever so gently. And picked up her cold wet body. Threw her over his shoulder. Then mounted the horse once again.

Got upon the horse he quickly went. With her body still resting over his broad shoulder. The horse again galloped. Until into the distance. Suddenly It reached his modest castle.

Then with a strong authoritative voice. The man lets out a guttural command. "Whoa…" Where without hesitation. The horse stops and obeys.

Immediately the man dismounted the horse and ran into his quarters. Where there was some light to see. Exactly who this young woman was.

Upon his first glance at her long wet dark muddied hair. He looks and sees a beautiful young lady in distress. So immediately he runs and grabs some clean linen. Begins to get her dried off and cleaned.

Then the emotions overtook him. And he lightly kisses her forehead. As tears of despair travel down his face. Where the young lady slowly starts to come to. The warmth of his touch. Was what her body needed.

The cold from her body. Continued to go away. While he removed her clothes from her damp body. Wrapped her in clean dry fabric and with his tender touch. Lays her down in his comfortable horsehair filled, feather bed.

She awakes slowly and completely. In just a short matter of time. But was once again frightened and scared. She had no idea where she was. Then started to panic, cry and shake.

Once he notices her unsettled state. He lightly grabs her hand and caressed her cold fingers with his. Then whispers warmly in her ear. " It's ok. It's ok. It's ok. I got you. Please call down. It's ok.

So by hearing his welcoming voice. She begins to relax. Lets her fear subside. And starts to slowly regain her strength to speak. She asks " where am I?" Is my mother and little brother okay? In which he responds with strong concern. " Your mother!? Your little brother? What? I don't know. I found only you in the forest"' he explains.

Then she remembers they are home with the town's maiden. In her safe warm home. She starts to warm up mentally and emotionally after that.

After that she remembered what her grandmother said. From the beyond. While lost in the forest. Then smiles and sent a silent loving thank you to her. While a tear of joy rolls down her cheek.

Looks up at her saving grace. Smiles once again and speaks aloud saying. Hi I'm Tara and you?" And he responds by smiling and saying. " Hello, I'm your future. Welcome home." And they carried on. While living happily ever after.
