Laura believed in God. So now as she asked for guidance, she knew she had two options, seek help or face whatever was outside, alone. This was the moment that the terror began. She heard a sudden sound downstairs. Her mind was troubled. Almost as if in a dream, in slow motion she braced her shoulder against the center of the door, gun drawn. She strained hard to listen, nothing, nothing. Then the sound of steps, slow steps, coming up the stairs. Hallucination or not she was ready!(to be continued.)
