On their days off, Torbjörn would accompany Inger to her prenatal check-ups while also taking Wilhelm to a training course on how to care for younger siblings. This was coupled with practical training at home using Wilhelm's baby doll.

Torbjörn taught Wilhelm everything from how to hold a baby, change diapers, feed a baby, and even how to take a baby out for a stroll in a stroller. He also explained the Swedish custom of letting babies nap outside in the fresh air, preparing Wilhelm for their eventual return to Sweden.

Wilhelm was a quick learner. He understood every step and followed them with great enthusiasm and precision. Inger couldn't help but smile as she watched her husband and son bonding over these lessons. She was touched by their dedication and the seriousness with which Wilhelm was preparing for his role as a big brother.
