“Isn’t this exciting?” My best friend’s excited eyes flit around the dazzling stores on the main street.
“I suppose so.”
My unenthusiastic reply had her turning to me with a frown. “What’s the matter? Aren’t you happy to be out shopping after so many months?”
I shook my head feeling miserable. I could feel the panic rise up so I pretended to search my pockets for my sanitizer. When I found it I poured it liberally over my hands and rubbed them together. There was no room for error, the virus was still around...

I looked around the store, and saw nothing but long sad faces. "isn't it sad?" I bit my lip exchanging faces with my bestfriend.

"What do you mean by that?" she questions worriedly.

I stared blankly at the entrance and took a deep breath inside my mask that was literally suffocating me. "How the world changed so suddenly and how nothing feels so normal anymore."

"Hello, Can please speak in English" She jokes.

She snaps me off my thoughts yet again after a moment of silence. Still starring reluctantly at the long queue at the entrance, where people gathered waiting to register their names before making it inside. My face dropped and a feeling of sadness cringes at me and a warm wave of teardrops escaped through my eyes.

"Cindy are you okay?" My bestfriend showed sympathy.

"Gina, it really gets to me. How the virus has taken away all the fun and how we live so much in fear. I miss being a carefree, I miss going to my favorite restaurants and eat a really relaxed good meal without fear, I wish I could catch flights to the most beautiful island this summer. You know that has always been our dream. But you see, this is the only freedom we get. ha! shopping under warm a**...
