The Haunted Hostage (Part 3 of 6)
Detective Alec Green's Mystery Stories*
After dropping off Adira at home, the team drove straight to the Avidavi Woods. Before they left the car, Adira opened the map to look at it. Felix squinted his eyes when he saw the reflection of the back of the map through the rearview mirror.
''Anjali, can you hand me that map for a few minutes?'' Felix asked.
''Yeah sure.''Anjali said and handed the map over to Felix. Felix took the map and flipped it to see there was a note in the back, causing his eyes to widen.
''Guys check this out quickly. There is a note.'' Felix said and he rested the map in front of him on the back seat of the car. Alec and Anjali leaned over from the front seat to see the note.
''The woman of the victim left a note.'' Felix said before he began to read it.
''I know by the time you read this you have already reached Avidavi Woods. There is only a couple miles to go from where you are to reach the abandoned house. I know you are wondering how I know and why I haven't fetched my son yet. Even if I wanted to, I could not. Not with the type of husband I have.
When he spots me, it would be the last of my son. This is why I asked you detectives to help me out because I lack options right now. I had figured out his location after several phone calls from him. I have taught my son that in times of getting lost. To share his location in codes that only the both of us could have understood.
Thankfully, what I had taught him benefited us today....
